Jussi Jäntti (Adjunct professor) is leading the Synthetic biology research team in the Industrial Biotechnology and Food Solutions Research area at the VTT Technical research Centre of Finland Ltd.
He is a board member in the governmental Advisory Board on Biotechnology in Finland and an associate editor in Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology (Synthetic biology) and a member of the Editorial board in Biotechnology Notes.
His research focuses on the development of efficient microbial Cell factories. His team develops computational methods for the design and establishment of novel enzymatic pathways and regulatory genetic circuits. An important target of their work is to establish efficient engineering methods for industrially relevant organisms to speed up the process of Cell factory establishment for the sustainable production of chemicals and proteins.
