Venue, Travel & Accommodation

SynBio Markets 2021 will be co-located with World Bio Markets at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam

Please help us keep the carbon footprint of the event low!

Our venue uses 100% green energy from wind, we only work with local suppliers, we use recycled materials where possible and don’t provide any pointless giveaways. We certainly don’t use any single use plastic and we’re reducing the amount of meat on offer to attendees… Subsequently, we’re proud to say that the carbon footprint of SynBio Markets is very low.

We would therefore be hugely grateful if you can help us further by making conscious choices about your travel and accommodation.

Travel

We advise looking at various travel options before booking as rail has a significantly lower carbon footprint than travelling by air. For some attendees travelling by train would be simply impossible or increase the journey time too severely, but it is worth bearing in mind the time it takes to get to an airport, check in and wait for departure, potential delays etc, compared to the relative ease of jumping on a train at a central train station, which can take you all the way to Amsterdam Centraal. Travelling by Eurostar has an even more significantly low impact, and is how the Bio Market Insights team will be travelling to and from London.
